Nunny Striders is open
Nunny Striders is a social running group from the Nunny, which is what people on the estate call Nunsthorpe. It is for anyone who wants to get out of the house and move, whether that is a walk-run or something a bit quicker.
There is no subscription, no trial, and no kit to buy. You put your name down so we have an emergency contact, then you turn up when a run is posted.
There is no standing Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday. When someone can get out, they post a time and a place on the members' forum. Other people reply if they are coming. That is the plan.
Grimsby already has proper athletics clubs. Grimsby Harriers and Cleethorpes AC use the track at King George V. Wolds Veteran Runners have been going for years. We are not those clubs, and we are not trying to be. If you want coaching, a licence, and a race number, go and see them. They are glad of new people. If you want a run where nobody is dropped at the first corner, start here.
If ice, lightning, or a storm gets in the way of something already arranged, the noticeboard in the members' area is where that is said, and a line goes on the top of this site.
