Before you come

Look after yourself, and the person behind you.

Nunny Striders is a social group, not a coached club and not an England Athletics club. There is no club insurance and no qualified run leader standing in a yellow coat. You run at your own pace and your own risk.

On the night

Tell someone at home where you are going. If you feel wrong, you stop. Nobody argues with that. If you cannot see the person behind you, wait. The first time you come, say if you need to be back by a certain time.

After dusk it is dark. Wear something a driver can see, or carry a light. Headphones stay out on the road. Pavements, not the carriageway.

When we cancel

Rain is not a reason. Ice, lightning, and storms are. The call goes on the orange line at the top of the site and on the members' noticeboard. If you are unsure, do not set out on a guess.

Dogs and children

Dogs on a short lead, owner's responsibility, and only if that run suits a dog. Not on an efforts session. Parkrun has its own rules. Under 16s only with a parent or guardian running beside them. We are not a junior section.

How we treat each other

No dropping people on purpose. No shouting at someone for being slow. No pressure to share a number, a photo, or a drink. Photos of people only with a yes on the day. If someone asks to be left alone, that is the end of it.

The organiser can refuse a join request or remove someone's access. A running group has to feel safe or it is not worth having. If something is wrong, use the contact form. Do not put it on a public page.

If someone is hurt

Stop. Call 999 if you need to. The emergency contact on the join form is for the organiser to use. We do not publish it. There is no club medic.
